A beautification project under the leadership of Territorial At-Large Representative, Hon. Lorna Smith, OBE, titled Roots to Resilience began over the weekend in East End.
The initiative marks the beginning of a broader mission to beautify the Virgin Islands territory-wide, while instilling a sense of national pride. Smith has on many occasions spoken of the state of the territory and her disappointment in how it is kept or lack thereof. On Saturday and Sunday, a mixture of sweeping and painting took place through the East End area.
